When I was getting married one of the most important things in the whole wedding was the photographer. For me, it was the one thing from my special day that I would always have. The flowers would die, the food would be eaten, but the photos remain.
That's how I see photography. It's all about capturing memories. Whether it's memories from the most important day in your life or just keeping the memory of that perfect summer sunset. It's like having memories in print.
So when I do a photo session particularly with people as the subject that's what I try to do - capture memories. From the subtle looks to the laughter, the dynamics of relationships and the happy innocence of children, they all shine through in an instant - an instant caught on film (or memory card in this day and age).
And that's why I love what I do. I don't just get to capture the memories, I get to share in them too.
